ADRASA is now part of the GreenTech Catalogue 2026, the ACCIÓ publication that showcases 181 solutions from Catalan companies and organisations working on green technological innovation.
Our featured project, developed in collaboration with Eurecat, explores a novel formulation based on industrial and agricultural waste. Its objective is to obtain renewable reducing agents for removing colour from recovered cellulosic and synthetic fibres.
Turning waste into a resource for textile processing
The technology extracts natural reducing agents from agricultural by-products and waste. These agents can modify the chemical structure of pigments and remove colour from fibres, with the aim of replacing more polluting processes in selected applications.
The project addresses several practical environmental goals: enabling the reuse of discarded textiles, upcycling agricultural by-products, reducing the use of conventional chemical reagents and helping prevent water contamination by hazardous substances.
Innovation grounded in industrial reality
Being included in the GreenTech Catalogue strengthens the visibility of applied textile innovation developed in Catalonia. For ADRASA, it also reflects a clear working principle: sustainability advances when technical research is translated into measurable, viable improvements for real industrial processes.
