ADRASA: functional textile finishes developed with technical criteria

In this Spanish Solutions for Textiles video, published on 15 April 2021, Oriol Cuni explains how ADRASA approached a new functional finishing challenge during the pandemic.

The focus is not only the development of a finish with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, but also the technical work needed to validate it: understanding the problem, defining performance targets, finding reliable ways to demonstrate those properties and working with external laboratories to support the testing process.

The video also reflects a core part of ADRASA’s way of working: R&D, laboratory knowledge and textile application must move together if a chemical solution is going to perform in real finishing conditions.

For ADRASA, innovation means more than introducing a new product. It means improving the process behind it, reducing water use and hazardous chemistry where possible, and proposing textile solutions with clearer value in terms of sustainability and respect.
